Our Family Vacation

We left price right on schedule (ya right, we had a flat tire as we were leaving) after 10 or so stops in Provo we were really on our way. The kids started wondering if we were ever going to get there at about the half way point. Our stay in Idaho was nice. We didn't have much time to visit with everybody, we were constantly busy, though we did try to get chad some shoes, that we ended up taking back the next day. It took us a long time to get going on the next part of the trip. After returning the shoes and a couple times of turning around to find where we were going for food we were off to the Lava Caves, Oh pit stop at the Sashonni Ice caves and store. The store took as long as the cave tour, we didn't want to get all the kids out so we take turns looking at every thing. It's now starting to get later we needed to get to the Lava caves. We're only an hour after the museum closes when we get there. We drove around, hiked and ran around to see what we wanted before it gets dark. Now we are driving through the dark, sam is choking on a piece of plastic from his cheese stick. We got it out!! But the three of us now need to change our clothes, thanks sammy. (I did get a new hoody) We get to the hotel late, this is a bummer because it was nice. (thanks mom. Happy B-day to me!)

Family Vacation

We get up and do some much needed laundry. (Sammy) Breakfast was good, giant pancakes and a good skillet omelet. We went to see the bears and Wolfs they look alot better, healthier. the wolfs are getting a bigger place soon. Through Yellowstone we didn't see many animals at all. then we hit a blizzard and had to head back for another hotel. We just shopped around West Yellowstone, Then went swimming till bedtime. The next day we headed for a museum, had to turn around at the park entrance and go buy chains for the tires just in case. (the road home was for snow chains only but that was better than closed, because it was at first.) We went and seen all the pools, waterfalls, mud pots, and geysers on our way home. The girls loved the mud pots they couldn't stop giggling at the sounds, Kaylee thought everything stunk, Katelyn loved the geysers, And everyone was tired of walking (except Sam). He was tired of the stroller and car seat. The Titon Mountains were beautiful, the leaves were just right, red, yellow, orange. We did see a heard of Buffalo just outside of Jaxon. But by then we were in a hurry and stuck the camcorder out the window. All our Titon pics were also on the go. We got to Bart and Jess's about 10:30 then headed home. Poor Chad Had to hurry and get to work.

So this is what a spur of the moment vacation looks like. Chad just said last night that he had a lot of fun and we should do it again. Anyone want to come?

I really did have a lot of fun! Everyone did. And I'm so glad we had that time together. Sometimes we just get to busy for each other, It's good to get away.

Sam is One

Okay He's been One for 3 months, It's just taken me this long to get the pics on here. He really didn't care for any more, mean mom. Oh whell, some day he'll thank me (mabey in the far far future).

Katelyn the wild one

Katelyn at Grandpa's company party. Everyone had a blast except for Sam who slept through most of it. Katelyn loved the slide and the waterfall.

Sammy and Grandpa

Samuel helped grandpa mow their lawn. He loves the broooom brooom but is also afraid of it. He dosn't want to get off but he won't smile either.
When he was in the house he watched out the glass door every time grandpa passed. Then started to whine and point outside. He's really stating to tell us what he wants. He's been signing some words like eat, more, go, and milk. Although he's known and understood them he didn't like to sign them before now. He's changing, growing up.

Katelyn at school

Katelyn has started preschool! She loves it and it gives mom a short break a few days a week. It usually dosn't feel like a break though. We use the time to run errands (with just one kid).

She is learning about manners, shapes and colors. Things we hope she knows all about. She is getting so big, she help out all the time with Sam and Kaylee, Chores, and Cooking. Lately she has not likes being the middle child, she wishes she was the oldest, or an only child. Poor thing she has to act like the oldest alot but dosn't get to do things first like Kaylee. We try to keep things fair but Kaylee just needs extra attention and help. Katelyn gets to start dance today and I hope that will help her feel better. I'm not sure what to do with Kaylee she wants to dance like Katelyn, but I'm afraed of overwhelming her. She's having a hard time ajusting to Kindergarten, hopefully we can smooth this over soon.

Welcome to our New Blog!

Things have been busy as always, Kaylee went to her first day of kindergarten today she was so nervous that she woke up every hour last night. I hope she likes her class that will make things allot easier. We are trying to find a new routine that will work for us in the mornings. Especially Samuel, we've messed him all up. Hopefully Kaylee will settle down now, the last two weeks Shes been getting out of hand. They ran away, she cut her hair, pulled the down stairs apart (completely), Put food and juice in Katelyn's and Samuel's hair, smeared Peanut Butter in the carpet in their room, and pulled things from the top of the closet. So naturally I'm excited to have her in Kindergarten (all day). Katelyn will also be going to preschool a few days a week for a couple hours, she starts Tuesday. She is really excited!

I'm still trying to finish Braking Dawn, I just haven't found enough time during the day. Staying up at night isn't working very well either. I fell asleep at LaRae's yesterday trying to get in a chapter.

Chad gave a talk yesterday in church. I only got to hear half of it, Kaylee pushed Katelyn off the chair and she bit her lip in three spots and cut her finger, so we were in the bathroom for the rest of it. I think he did a great job though. The bishop and president Dinkelman spoke also, it was all about missionary work, seeing as it was Nick's Farewell.
